Detachable cables are useful on industrial electrodes where cables are run through conduits and wiring trays. They can also be handy on laboratory electrodes too. 

Phoenix can supply two types of detachable cables. 

The DL connector is a Phoenix speciality and has an "O" ring seal making it suitable for industrial environments. 

The S7 connector matches european electrodes and is more commonly found on laboratory electrodes.
